Mazda CX-5 II generation (2017-2021)

Mazda CX 5 II generation (2017-2021) Mazda CX-5 2017 is a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive five-door compact crossover of the K1 class from the Japanese automaker. The updated Mazda model was presented in 2016 in Los Angeles. The manufacturer introduced not only changes in the exterior of the car, but also advanced technologies.

The car is presented in 4 versions: Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Select and Sport.

Mazda CX-5 Exterior & Interior

The model is a representative of the second generation. Compared to its predecessors, the updated Mazda CX-5 has a wider radiator grille. The front optical headlights have become even narrower. The chrome arc that emphasizes the shape of the grille looks especially impressive. The developers have equipped the car with diode optics. The bumper now has fog lights.

Aerodynamic performance and visibility have been improved thanks to a greater inclination of the windshield. Minimal changes have also been made to the front end. The shape of the bumper and luggage compartment door has changed slightly. The rear optics were supplemented with LED light.

Despite the fact that the parameters of the car remained the same, we managed to increase the volume of the luggage compartment. Now it is 506 liters, which is 63 liters more than in the first generation crossover.

High-quality materials are used in the interior to finish all elements. We managed to increase the level of sound insulation of the model. The dashboard has the same shape. Minor changes have been made to the steering wheel. This element is identical to the CX-9. A 7-inch multimedia screen has taken its place on top of the center console. The audio system is represented by 4 speakers and a radio, and there are 2 USB ports. For the top trim, there is navigation and a Bose system with 10 speakers.

The driver's seat is adjustable in 8 positions, the passenger seat in 6 positions. The seats are heated and ventilated.

The engine lineup retains the previous powertrains. The car received gasoline 4-cylinder in-line engines with a displacement of 2.2 and 2.5 liters. The engines have 165 and 194 horsepower, respectively.

A turbo-diesel 4-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 2.2 liters and an output of up to 185 hp is also available. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The powertrains are combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission or manual.

Comfort and safety systems

Even the basic configuration received the maximum set of options and technologies. The car has keyless entry, a rearview camera, and a leather steering wheel.

Driver assistants include blind spot monitoring and lane keeping, collision avoidance, traction control, electronic stability control, and ABS.
